I only told my doctor that I was ready for children around mid to late 2003. He immediately asked to check my blood to see if I was ovulating on my own. I was not. He gave me one round of Clomid, and rechecked my blood. It showed that I had ovulated that time, but that my levels were borderline, and he wanted to do another round of Clomid. I was supposed to pick those pills up and start them after my period started, only it never did. I am now 17 weeks pregnant. I should find out what sex it is in two weeks.

I don't think that my story is typical. I was definitely surprised! Good Luck!
