I know of a couple that had a similar situation with a boy. Their Ped. suggested that his favorite toy be put in timeout everytime he had an accident. After about 3 days of his "Bear" being unable to play, he decided he could & would use the potty and they've had lasting results. If he had an accident, Bear would be put in timeout until he used the potty. Then Bear was able to play, unless he had another accident, then timeout again.

I agree with you that if he did it before, he should be able to continue.

I'm waiting on the day that my daughter actually does something in the potty. She loves to sit on it, but no results yet. :)

Good Luck
