| efinitely can help people here. I had a 2 1/2 month old baby boy die of SIDS in 2000. It took me awhile to want another one. when I wanted one I could not get pregnant. We tried Clomid and no successs so we stopped trying. that very month I got pregnant. I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks and 14 weeks. All was great. I went for an ultrasound on 2/13/2004 at 17 1/2 weeks and they told me baby had died. I had labor induced. they are doing tests on me and baby. I just have to have a baby. there has to be a way. I have 2 healthy boys-7 and 5 1/2 but I ache for a baby. I am still in shock. It just does not seem real. she was perfectly formed. They gave me her footprints. The hospital gave me the foloowing poem which explained my connection. Maybe it will help others:
The cord
We are connected, my child and I by an
invisible cord not seen by the eye
It's not like the cord that connects us til
birth. This cord cannot be seen by any on
earth.
This cord does its work right from the
start. It binds us together, attached to my
heart.
I know that it's there no one
can see, the invisible cord from child to me.
The strength of this cord is hard to
describe. It cannot be destroyed. It cannot be
denied.
It's stronger than any cord man could
create. It withstands the test. Can hold any weight.
And though you are gone, though you are
not here with me, the cord is still there
but no one can see.
It pulls at my heart. I am bruised-I am sore. But this cord is my life as never
before.
I am thankful that God connects us this
way. A mother and a child, death can't
take away. |
