Hi, I to have a home based daycare for 9 1/2 years now and I can only suggest that if you have had this problem with him for a while, maybe you should let him go.. I wouldnt feel like a failure, Ive had to do this with 2 of my children in the past that I have cared for, You have to take into consideration the other children you are keeping and their parents, this kind of behavior is affecting them as well, and it is not fair for them. If you've exhausted everything else. I know it is hard, but you shouldnt make things harder for yourself and letting him go may be best for both of you in the long run, Maybe his parents will see that if they have to make other arrangements for him then there is definitely a problem. You have to think of yourself at times as well as the other children you keep. I hope this has helped you out somewhat, Good luck.
