I'm greek, so the kids will be bicultural. I want them to have names that will make them fit in like natives in either country, if they choose to. So names that are of Greek origin but sound *anglosaxon* (like Alexander). Also, I shudder at the thought of greek relatives mispronouncing and butchering the childs name, so no unusual names please, I want something classic that most people will be familiar with (think parents generation in greece) and easy to pronounce. I figure if my child wants to be unique, it can choose to use the other countries pronounciation or version, so I don't need a unique name. Last name is going to be Good. (That creates a lot of puns and excludes a lot of names, unfortunately!) Also, I'm considering non greek origin names, but then it will have to be something very short and sweet (easy to pronounce, with no room for mistakes) like Brian for example!
Fav name for a girl at the moment is Sophie (almost set on that!) but I don't mind alternatives. (I'm thinking Lily, Rebecca...more?)
Have more trouble with boy names. My favorite is Nicholas but I don't like the nickname Nick. Any ideas for other nicknames? Think I can get people to call him by his full name?
Any suggestions welcome, but due to the situation, no unique-extreme names please! :O)
