SUBJECT: 2 1/2 yr old stopped going #2...HELP
We're at our wits end with our 2 1/2 yr old daughter. She mysteriously has decided to hold her poop. Not a constipation thing, she jsut fights it...and we haven't even begun trying to potty train her yet. Just all of a sudden about 3 weeks ago stopped. It's almost as if she has forgotten how to go. When she gets the urge she gets up on her tippy toes and cries. We've increased her liquids, she gets fruit with every meal, and she fights it all the way. Our pediatritions are very ho-hum about it. Prescribed Miralax and told us to use "Little Tummies" which works, but there comes a point where we shouldn't use that again. We're on the 3rd week (1 dose each of the weeks has relieved her). Any good ideas???? We're not sure what has caused this or what to do......
