hello to everyone with this problem well i have a child who developed this three days after being born she now has a vp shunt which drains the fluid so it can be absorbed back into the body but not all babies need shunts it can sometimes be fixed with a spinal tap also not to alarm anyone fluid on the brain is sometimes associaated with spina bifada so have them check to make sure it is just hydrocephalaus which is the med term for fluid on the brain an answer though if the baby will be ok he or she should be may be in the nicu for a few days or weeks which is hard but it goes by fast if anymore questions please email me
