IN REPLY TO: PLEASE HELP!! First pregnancy 4.5 weeks and I think something might be wrong
AUTHOR: ccrosswhite
Yes, I know that's harder to do than say. I have a friend at work that had a health baby girl in September, full term, and she tells me that she had cramps throughout the entire 9 months. If you start having any bleeding along with the cramps, then I would get concerned and call the dr. right away. I think you should go ahead and keep a close eye on things, but the cramping could be nothing.

I found out on Monday that I have had a missed abortion and am having a D&C on Friday. They could see my baby on the ultrasound and I should have been at 9 weeks, but I'm not sure when the baby stopped developing. Within a few more weeks your doctor should be able to do an ultrasound and see the heartbeat, though they may not be able to hear it yet.

Hang in there.
