My new ob is a very experienced doctor(over 35 years) and I am now traveling over a hour to get to him, but its totally worth it. Based on my history and last 4 c-sections he feels I am at no greater risk than others; however, all of these doctors should be basing their information on us individually, not just say "3 c-sections are the limit" I specifically asked him if I was a candidate for a 5th c-section and based on my history I am. If your ob acts "generic" with you, come back with your questions based on you as an individual not a statistic. I still need to get pregnant which will hopefully happen again and I will just take one day at a time. I also told one of the other girls on this thread that my friend is pregnant with her 8th child(last 4 c-sections) and she will be having her 5th c-section and all is going well. Have you ever heard the ethel Kennedy had 11 c-sections? I thought that was interesting. My very 1st ob who was awesome but retired told me, he felt it was safe to have 5 or 6 c-sections...just some hopefully encouragement for you. |
