We had this problem with my daughter at her daycare as well, so hopefully this will help you! Keep in mind that if this boy is biting your child he is likely biting others as well, so try approaching the director as a group. This is what we did at our school, and I think it put the problem into prospective for her that something had to be done if so many parents were upset. The parents of the child biting were open to suggestions since he did not bite at home as he has no siblings. As a alternative to being kicked out of another daycare, Rory-the bitter-was confided to a highchair whenever the teacher was not in direct contact with the kids. It seems like a drastic measure, but when you consider he was biting several other children a day what is the alternative? This was all about a year ago, and although he is still not the nicest child at the center he is no longer biting the other kids.
