I would wait. 7 weeks is too early to detect a heartbeat. Please wait just a little while. You are not having any cramping or bleeding. If the baby is not alive it will abort itself soon. But please wait a little bit before doing a d&c. My doctors would not even try to find a heartbeat until I was somewhere between 10-12 weeks. I would ask every time i went and she always would say, it was to early. I would try to get an second opionion if you could, or just wait 2-3 more weeks atleast. And if you get a second opionion and the doctor says its too early, then i would switch. Or if he says that there is no heart beat and says to have a d&C too then i would. But you don't want to do something that you will regret or have mixed feeling about. Good Luck to you and with your baby.~*~*Sending lots of postive baby vibes your way!!~*~*~
