 | Hi,
I'm new to this message board & found it to be very interesting reading, especially the messages pertaining to negative HPT's and negative blood tests.
I'm here to see if anyone can offer me a little help. I have a surrogate mother and we did inseminations on January 17,18 and 19th...her ovulation date was the 18th.
Her cycle was due on Monday, February 1st...needless to say her cycle still has not started. She has taken 4 HPT's...all BFN..and went to get a blood test on Wednesday, February 11th which was also negative...it was the test only only tells you yes or no...not the Beta HCG test that give you a number.
She has had a few symptoms such as being lightheaded, frequent urination, cramping and bloating...still her cycle has not started to date.
We are at loss as to what is going on..she has never missed a cycle except when pregnant and has always had a 30-day cycle (occasionally 2-3 days late) she has been a surrogate mother before and had triplets. We really feel she is not a stressful kind of person...she is from West virginia, very laid back and we keep in touch through a phone call here and there... but mostly e-mails. Is it possible that after being over 2 weeks late with her cycle and all tests coming back negative that she could still be pregnant??? Should we request the blood test again?? especially the test that measures the amount of HCG present? Thanks |
