I'm sorry I don't have any advice for you. I just had to write to you because I know exactly how you feel. I also am a home daycare provider and have a 2 1/2 yr old boy in my care that sounds just like this child. He just doesn't get it. I tell him something and he constantly goes back to the same behavior. My problem is the father disciplines him, but the mother "doesn't want to make him cry" so she isn't consistent with him. He does other strange things too, like eats dirt & sand like it is candy and also, I can't get him to look me in the eye. When I try to tell him something or explain how to do something I want him to look at me so I know he is paying attention. He will not look me in the eye for longer than 2 seconds. Does your daycare child do that? Maybe we could bounce ideas off each other. Let me know. Thanks
