I would guess that you are not pregnant. It is true that most of the time a pregnancy can be detected with a HPT right away. I actually knew I was pregnant with my last 3 pregnancies up to 8 days BEFORE I was due.
Some women are different though, and I would say that if you havent started by Monday maybe calling your DR and getting a medical opinion would be a good idea.
Stress and sometimes cysts can cause delayed periods.
And if you are pregnant breaking it to your mom may not be easy. But the way I look at it is if your b/f makes you happy and you two really love eachother then that is what is important. She will have to learn to accpet him pregnancy or not.
