SUBJECT: How long to let DD CIO?
I have a 10 week old and he will only sleep for long periods in his swing. I would like to put him in his crib to sleep so that I can sleep in my own bed and not the couch! When he falls asleep in my arms, I will put him down in his crib, but it only lasts for a hour sometimes and he is awake again. Also, his cries are no different, sometimes I think he is crying because he is hungry, but he will not take a bottle! Our Dr. said since he was 4 weeks earier he is just a fussy baby and that I can not spoil him by holding to sleep.
So, I actually have 2 questions:
How do I get him to eat enough during the day to get him to sleep more at night?
And how long should I let him CIO?
I tried the CIO method for 2 nights last week and the third day, he was horse! Not sure if that was good for baby or not?
Any suggestions?
