I think that it could be caused by improper washing. They also say that some bubble bath can cause irritation. How old is your granddaughter? Also it may become irritated if she is not changed right away and gets poop near/in there and is not washed properly. I know that eating yogurt helps with a yeast infection. I would take her to a doctor if proper washing,etc does not help. Good luck to you, hope this helps!
