preg after stopping the pill?

I have took otho tricyclen for 4 years and have been off it for 2-3 months. I know going off the pill can mess your periods up, the first month of the pill my period was 1 1/2 weeks late. This month however, on day 29 of my menstrual cycle, my period came. Or what i thought was my period. It only lasted 1 day and started light pink and by that night was a brownish discharge then quit.It was more like spotting, then a period. Could this be another side effect of being off the pill, or could i be pregnant? Because I know if you are pregnant you can have light spotting. Help! Thank You :)
