late period.. neg results can anyone help me out??

How long can it take to get a positive result after you miss your period i am currently 6 days late i have taken 3 pg. test one the day i missed my period and on day 3 and 4 and they were still neg. but no period still! my breast are bigger and my nipples definitely have gotten larger they really haven't changed color except i kind of have some sort of white spotting on them. I had craps a few days ago that were pretty bad which led me to believe that I was going to get your period but didn't and now they have basically subsided but I still get really light ones but not bad at all!
I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone and the outcome was that they were pg.?
