Blighted Ovum

Hi - I just had a D&C done yesterday and I can't start to tell you how emotionally upset I am. I was 8 weeks and it was my first pregnancy. The problem: My HCG levels are still over 3000!! The doctor thinks I might've had a multiple pregnancy and there might be an ectopic pregnancy as well. I'm having my blood tested this week to see how my blood level is doing. If its still high..I might end up getting an exploratory laparoscopy to check my tubes..I'm scared and afraid my future pregnancies might be tough as well. Questions:

1) How long after D&C will I get my period?
2) How long after that can I try for a baby again?

Does anybody have any feedback for me. I'm so upset. I'm 33 and this is not how I wanted my first pregnancy to be.
