My son did this and he was 4. He as too immature for a preschool environment. He needed a lower ratio, and a more homey environment with a consistent daycare provider that he could bond with. He needed a provider who was affectionate and more responsive to his needs. All behavior problems disappeared when I removed him from the school environment. I may put him back in for a summer program just before school starts, and I am selecting a private K with a low ratio, under 10 so that he can be successful while he matures.
