My (second) husband and I knew we wanted to have a baby right after we got married. I was 29 and had a 9 1/2 year old. 2 weeks before we got married I was due to start a new package of pills (to be my last), but my prescription was out and I was so busy at work I just could not get to my OB. We decided to just go off of them, anyway we had heard it could take 6-months to a year to get pregnant after being on the pill that long (9 1/2 years). Well, I got pregnant on our honeymoon! What a nice surprise. I did not even have a period after going off the pill. So, it can happen right away. Best of luck to you.
