SUBJECT: can't tell if this girl likes me
There's this girl that moved on my street last summer.I hang out with her all the time now if I have the chance(don't always have free time because I have a job now that takes a lot of my time), mostly at her house or around the neighborhood. Her family also invites me to do stuff a lot with them. I have a very friendly relationship with her family. Last Saturday me and her went to this festival at my church. I took her to lunch first. She didn't want to eat anything. According to my aunt and my cousin this means that she likes me because she's embarrissed to eat in front of me. Last New Year's Eve when our street had a block party she gave me that harmless slap on the arm while joking around and at one point it looked like she smiled at me quickly from a distance away. Sometimes though she seems really quiet and aloof around me. She's kind of a shy person as am I. I like her a lot. She's got a great personality and is very pretty but the personality counts a lot. She's practically all I look for in a girl. She's always on my mind now. My main question is how can I tell if she really does like me and how can I find a way showing her how I feel without getting hurt emotionally? I don't make fast moves. I'm a shy person when it comes to girls. I'm not really afraid to ask her to things now that I kind of did it once but pain from rejection is still my biggest fear.
Any of you have any advice or ideas on how to go and are there big signs she will give me to show she has big interest in me?

thanks a lot

-Austin
