Hi, I am a new mom too and was freaking out when this happened to my son as well. He is 10 weeks old and was having regular BM's just about after every feeding up until about 2 months, then he stopped having them until about every 3 days. I've done some research and it is actually very normal for infants to slow their BM's down at around 2 months of age. If she is getting breast milk, then it is even more common for them not to have BM's very regularly after 2 months because (and this makes good sense) there is not a lot of waste in breastmilk (nature's perfect food) therfore, they do not have much waste built up to expell. I think that they were having regualr BM's for the first 7 weeks just because their little digestive systems were developing. Don't panic, its very normal for your little one not to have several BM's in a day. If she is going once a day, then you're doing better than the rest of us at this point! Oh, and be careful about givinge her too much Karo -- I finally gave my little one Karo after 3 days and it worked great then I got carried away and gave it to him in every bottle and he had the worst gas problems. If she doesn't seem like she is in pain or overly fussy, chances are, she's OK not to have had a BM. Check out this article from Babycenter.com:

Also, if you want to put your mind at ease, go to google.com or babycenter.com and type in either "constipation" or "Bowel Movements" in the search field and you would find several articles and messages from parents on the same issue and you will find that this is actually quite normal and OK. Now, I only use Karo if my little one doesn't have a BM by Day 4.

Good luck and try not to worry too much (like I did!). :-)
