I would have your doctor educate your boyfriend on birth control and how it well works. I'm sure your doctor would love to talk to him and would probably do it over the phone so you don't have to pay for an appointment.

I too got pregnant on the pill. Ortho Novum 777 to be exact. Three years later I got pregnant on Norplants. Two years after that I got pregnant with the IUD and unfortunatly lost the baby. Decided to try depo shots and then when I did want a baby and stopped the shots, it took forever to conceive! Now were working on number four and I'm thinking I need to go back on birthcontrol so I CAN GET PREGNANT.
