my 4 year old son is very aggressive

I have 2 boys my eldest is almost 4 and my younger is almost 3. They have been at home mostly and only see other kids when I go to my neighbors house and to the park. My almost 4 year old has an erratic agressive behavior problem. He will throw something to hit or hit someone without cause at any varied interval of time, unevoked. I dont understand why hes doing this. He can talk to tell me how he feels and hes generaly a sweet child. My husband thinks its because he isn't around other kids enough. Any advise would be helpful.
