SUBJECT: I feel so guilty about leaving them!
I am starting a new job soon and I am putting my children in daycare. My five year old has been in and out of daycares since he was four months old and now I have to put my 8 month old in someone else's care too. I am so sad. My baby is so happy being with me all day. I hate having to pay other people to raise my children. How do I know if they will get all of the attention that they deserve? I have had so many bad experiences with caregivers already. A few years ago my son was coming home with bruises on his upper arms, but the caregiver always had some valid, believable excuse. She seemed so nice and she had three children of her own. Recently my son has been telling me how mean she was to him.He used to scream when I would drop him off in the morning. I just thought he was being stubborn because he wanted to stay with me. I wish I would have known. I am interviewing so many caregivers for my new baby. I want to keep my children together but my older son is starting Kindergarten soon. How will I know what is really going on? There are so many bad things that could happen...neglect, molestation, abuse. This is so hard. I pray that I find someone wonderful but how will I really know if my children are in good hands?
