SUBJECT: Roto Virus
My 12 month old daughter was recently diagnosed with "ROTO VIRUS"...which is driving me nuts trying to figure out where she contacted this nasty virus. She became very weak the 2md day..so my husband and I took her to her Pedetrician. He sent us to have lab work and from there they admitted her into the hospital for dehydration..Which i was giving her plenty of fluids plus pedialite. She still dehydrated and had to have a IV.She was hospitalized for only one day and one night witch was miserable for all of us.The Doctor told us that it can prevented with lots of good hand washing and to use a disenfectant spray to clean all her toys and wash everything.Don't give your child any milk products..which will make the diahrhea worse.Be sure to practice lot's of hand washing..also clean your childs hands! GOOD LUCK!!
