My husband smokes pot

I am 23 and have hav been married for 3 years. We have a 13 mos.son and I love my family deeply. The problem is for the first 2 1/2 yrs my husband smiked pot constantly. I always hated it and one say I couldn't take it anymore and I told him it was either pot or his family. I was ready to leave because I thought he wouldn't give it up. To my surprise he said that he would quit because he couldnt' bear the thought of losing his family.
I thought things were going great. There were times when I would ask about his progress he said that he hasn't done any. My husbands best friend called for him but he was at work. We were talking about them working together and his friend slipped and told that he was still smoking weed. I ofcourse was VERY upset because I thought he could trust and tell me. I called my husband after and he was more upset of who told me that him being caught. I dont know what to do. I feel alone and I have to stay strong for my son. I feel like he hasn't given me a chance to trust him and now it's hard for me to know if he is telling the truth. What should I do? We are going to talk more about thins when he gets off work but how do I know to belive what he says to me? Please help.....
