SUBJECT: Does anyone have a clue? I hope so...
I have an 8 year old who was diagnosed at 5 as being BiPolar. He has been hospitalized 2 times and is now on 4 different meds including Lithium, Risperdol, Concerta, and Zoloft. He has been doing so well for over a year now, with no excessive problems, but lately it seems as if things are getting tough again. He has been very hyper, and EXTREMELY purposely annoying. I have tried every disciplinary action in the world and tonight I put him to bed at 7:00 because I couldn't stand to look at him for another minute...literally. He is being so annoying (making sounds, picking fights with his sister as soon as I turn my back, making faces closely in my face, laughing loudly at things that are in no way funny...)that I cannot stand to be around him. And yes, I hate feeling that way more than you know. I feel like such a bad mom for even thinking those thoughts. What is going on?? Anybody have a clue??
