| | | NEXT MESSAGE  | | | | | AUTHOR: | son1-mom0 | DATE: 01/29/04 3:18pm | | SUBJECT: |  the lies, the lies..... | | | so, he lies again..already grounded for homework neglect, just at bed time calls for me and says "i have to get it off my chest, (crying starts) I have a project due tomorrow and I'm not finished....I tell him I'll write a letter to the teacher asking for one day on his behalf (he missed school that day) and if she says ok..then he can finish it and get it in on time...so he thanks me and off to bed he goes...I write letter, he takes it to school and the call comes after school from the teacher.."you are being mislead"..it was due last week and he just fooled around during class time....well....grounding doesn't work...spanking his 9 yr old butt doesn't work...lines, extra homework...talking to him....WHAT DO I DO? I need a creative discipline way to make this child understand the damage his lies are doing are destroying my trust (I've told him this...but here we are again)...ANY SUGGESTIONS on how to curb the lies... | |  | |
