Go see your doctor right away, if he can't get you in, go to the hospital. Sometimes your feelings of concern should not be overlooked. Please also make sure you are doing kick counts and that your baby is remaining active. If your baby becomes less active, seek medical attention. If your baby is less active a non-stress test should be done. It is a non-invasive test that monitors baby's heartrate. Getting a heartbeat on doppler is not enough if you have concerns.
My second son was stillborn at 40.2 weeks. He was perfectly healthy, but his cord was around his neck twice and became too tight. I like many moms of stillborn knew something was not right and his activity decreased also like many moms report later. My doctor would not do anything because his heartbeat was in normal range each time with a 1 minute doppler reading. 26,000 babies a year are stillborn at or near term. Over cautious is better than wishing later you had more attention.
Best of luck to you and your baby.
