AUTHOR: mommystandin | | | I know this is probably late but I just wanted to jump in here and reply as I have went through the exact same thing. I agree, it sounds like reflux (GERD) which is the stomach contents emptying into the esophagus causing either acid pain (heartburn) which that is called a silent refluxer or causes spit up (excessive, to the point of no weight gain). My son was diagnosed at 4 weeks with this. He would have terrible gas at night and he would end up sleeping on me and I would jiggle him with every scruntch. The scrunching up is also a symptom of reflux. Prosobee caused gas and consitpation with my son so that could also be a problem. This is expensive but the only formula that worked for him was Enfamil Nutrimagen. I would also suggest finding a doctor that understands reflux (GI Specialist). There are meds out there that can help the discomfort as Tylenol also caused my son constipation and gas. He is on Prevasid and is 13 months old. He's been on that since 3 months of age. We've dealt with no weight gain and even weight loss during his first year. You will find that if he does have reflux, you won't find much information or even doctors that really help this situation. It's really sad. I hope that you find rest and get the answers you and your daugther need. Good luck! I'd love to hear how he's doing. | |  | |
