I experienced the same problem. I think this is fairly common, although I didn't believe it while it was happening. My daughter is 6 months old now and the hair loss has stopped.

I started losing lots of hair when she was approx. 4 months old. I had blood tests and went to the dermatologist and everything checked out ok.

I lost a lot near my temples and above my ears, but I don't think it was as noticeable to other people as it was to me. I still have some hair on my pillow but it is almost back to normal.

Try not to worry too much and hang it there. You are ok and it will get better! It's just one of those hundred odd things your body goes through with an infant.
