SUBJECT: sexual abuse of 4 year old
I recently discovered quite by accident that my 4 year old son was molested. He had an obsession with playing with himself, but it was more than the normal and he complained of it hurting all the time. I still didn't think anything of it until he was playing with a stuffed animal in an inappropriate way one day. It was then that he told me after asking that his father was touching his penis and also his butt. I was totally shocked. His father denies anything like that could happen and tells me that I shouldn't believe him because it is all lies. I am struggling with all this but I am believing my son. I just don't think he could make up it up. My husband wants to talk to my son about it in front of me but I haven't made the decision to do it yet. He says he wants to get to the bottom of this also. I am afraid it will hurt my son or scare him. I just don't know. I would appreciate any thoughts on this matter.
