SUBJECT: my son is 9 weeks old and formula is just not enough
My son is 9 weeks old and weighing in at around 14 lbs. About a week ago we had too start him on solids cause the breast and formula was just not enough. In an average feeding we would feed him about 10 onces or more to fill him. My doctor told me too introduce baby cereal to him. We tried this but my son did not like it. So we went to pears and apple sauce and we found putting alittle of the cereal in it he enjoys it. We also found doing this he eats about 1 to 2 teaspoons and then drinks about 5 onces of breastmilk. We found now he is much more content and a very happy baby. We have had no problems. My suggestion to other mothers is do what you feel is right. Not every child is going to be the same and you and only you is going to know if your child is happy or not. And a hungry child is a unhappy child so do what your gut tells you and what you think is best for him. Advice is always welcome from others but, just remember when you give advice its your beleifs so dont try to force them on someone just suggest and dont call another mother stupit for what she feel is best for her child.
