SUBJECT: Incompetent cervix
Hi everyone! After a long and difficult road, I am happy to say that we made it to 34 weeks! I miscarried my last pregnancy at 16 weeks due to an incompetent cervix. This time, we had a cerclage at 13 weeks and I have been at bed rest ever since, including a 5 week stretch in the hospital. I have a question for any mommies out there who may have experienced the same condition. My question is, did you deliver vaginally or via c-section? I am concerned that a vaginal birth my traumatize my cervix further and make a future pregnancy more difficult to carry. My Perinatalist won't discuss a future pregnancy with me until this one is over, and refuses to answer this question. I personally don't find it fair. My OB/GYNs say they don't think it is an issue, but refer me to the peri! So, naturally, I turn to all of you! Anyone who can help, your input will be greatly appreciated!

Good luck to all of you!

Thanks!
