SUBJECT: Reporting Abuse
I am a 21 years of age, a mother of one and will soon be marrying a 25 year old that has full custody of his two children. Their mother has visitation rights but I fear she does drugs and drinks while they are in her care. This is because of what her parents relay to us and her past behaviour of being neglective and abusive. Both physically and emotionally to her children. They are 5 and 3. The 5 year old touches herself and likes to show her panties in public. The 3 year old also touches himself...(they both do this in front of themselves and others) He is also under developed in speech he lashes out his frustration by hitting other children and day care teachers. He often complains about tummy aches. My 19 month old daughter is starting to pick up these actions and it is scaring me... Legally we cannot tell their mother that she cannot see her children unless there is documented proof and we have none because she cleans up before we come over...so we are stuck in between a rock and a hard place. I would appreciate any advice or ideas to how we should go about handling this.
Thanks to whomever reads this and responds. God bless and God speed....
