when will my 11 1/2 month old sleep through the night

My son is 11 1/2 months old and still wakes up once or twice to nurse and then goes right back to sleep. I was just wondering if this is normal or is he probably in a habit. I plan on weaning him in a month or so but don't know what I will do if he is still waking up at that time. He will not take a bottle and I hate to let him just cry it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
