We traveled with our 3-month-old and I was a nervous wreck about how to feed her at the airport and/or on the plane, but everything worked out fine and she was great on the plane. Although some people don't recommend using warm water to make a bottle, we have done that sometimes when we're out and about and it hasn't been a problem. We used the warm water in the airport bathroom for a couple bottles. We knew she was going to be hungry soon on the plane so we filled the bottle with warm water before boarding and added the formula later. Believe it or not, there wasn't any hot water at one airport, so one of the food vendors warmed up a cup of water for us in the microwave and then we made the bottle. Just tip it around some to avoid hot spots. I'm sure they would do the same for you on the plane. However, if you're using expressed milk these options obviously won't work for you. We have a bottle warmer that we really love and actually take it with us to friends' houses and the airports have plug ends that you could use if you have a bottle warmer. Someone also suggested to me to take a thermos of hot water, but the thermos was so heavy I decided to not go with that option. For the most part, our daughter slept on the plane, which was great. She'd eat right at takeoff and sleep the rest of the time away. I wasted a lot of time worrying about traveling with a baby and even though we had lots of delays she did great and we got her fed. Warm water from a faucet and microwave-heated water are okay occasionally, she's as healthy and as happy as can be. Hope these suggestions are somewhat helpful and that you have a great trip!
