SUBJECT: Juvinal Rumitiod Arthritis(JRA)
When I was just over a year old, I would stand and the not walk but sit down and crawl. My doctor diagnosed me with JRA. The "JRA" hurt me on and off until I was about 7 and then just growing pains. In the past 6 months, my knees(where I was diagnosed with JRA) have been in alot of pain. Mostly at night starting around 9-9:30. I went to my doctor and he had me take a blood test--to test for the Rumitod factor in my blood. My test came back negitive. They said that everything was fine--well, I don't think its fine if I am in pain. Well, I have been doing some reading, because my doctor can't tell me why. I read that you don't need the Rumitiod factor in your blood to have JRA or even RA. JRA is for children under the age of 16. Im 14. JRA most comonly affects the knees, ankles and elbows. You must have symtoms for at least 6 weeks consecutivly to be diagnosed. To me, this seems to be me--why dosen't my doctor think so? And I have also read of Lupis--Autoimmune disease--can vary--can disgues itself as many other diseases--one is JRA(RA). Any ideas--suggestions???
Please help!!
