8 positive hpt negative blood and bleeding.Confusing!!

I was wondering if anyone could help me understand what is happening.My last REAL period was 11/9/03.I usually have a 38 day cycl.I was due to ovulate on 12/3/03 with the next period due to come 12/17/03 so of course my boyfriend and I did our do.On 12/11/03 which was 6 days early I started bleeding but it was very light.It only lasted 1 1/2 days.I usually go for about 4 days.When it dissapeared I started feeling realy sick, my friend recommended I still do a hpt.On 12/15/03 I did one and it was ++.I waited a few days to be sure and took another on 12/17/03 and then again on 12/19/03 both were +++ and a whole lot more darker then the first one.So having 3 positive test I scheduled a dr's appointment.They had me come in on 12/26/03.The morning of my appointment I took another hpt because I just had to be sure and it was +++.I went tot he doctor and their urine test was ---.After showing the nurse my 4 ++ hpt she ordered a Quant blood test.I went home so confused my girlfriend bought another 2 test over,I think they were called Homesure one step.I took one that night +++.The next morning I took the other ++.This made 6 posititive hpt and 1-- dr urine test.The nurse called me that afternoon and said the blood test was --- I was only 23 days post ovulation at this time.I was so confused.I called the test manufactuere and they told me that they are over 99% accurate.I just let it go to avoid further dissapointment.I continued to have signs and symptoms throughout January, on 1/13/04 I started to bleed again but it like the in Dec was very light and short.My girlfriend told me to perform another hpt and she bought me a test that included 2 test.I took the first on 1/16/04 and then the last on 1/17/04 both were +++.I had 2 other people look at my collection of tests and they all confirm that it is as positive as day.No more faint++.My question is, is it possible to have this many false ++?Is there a reason why I bleed so lightly and shortly in dec and jan?What could cause so many false ++?I feel sick all the time.Always sleepy.Is 23 days post ovulation to soon for a blood test?I expected the dr urine test to poss be -- because I had been urinating all day and when I did go for them it was very clear.I need help understanding.Am I pregnant or not?
