SUBJECT: Just Wondering
Just wondering why so many people are down on the Public School System and those without alot of money?
I come from a large family and we all went to Public School...we are all doing well in our adult lives...4 have gone on to University and have obtained Bachelor and Master Degree's...and 3 have gone to College and recieved Certificates in other area's.
I was talking to one of my sisters and a couple of her friends whom also went to a Public School is now teaching at Harvard and another at McGill.
The Public Schools here where I live still have religion...they do the Lords Prayer and Oh Canada everymorning and do the nativity scenes in the Christmas concerts.
The Public Schools, Catholic School and the Christian Private School all get together and participate in town functions as a group.
I personally dont think it matters where one sends there children or what College or University ones child is educated.
I know with both hub and I we are pushing further education..but we will leave what kind to the children...whether its Trade School, College (Which most trades can be taken in) or University I really dont think that it matters.
Oh Yes..the two teaching at Harvard and McGill went to a small town University...and one of the proffessors son's took a course at SAIT (A local Trade School). :-)
Loving our children and respecting their wishes and hoping they grow up happy is of much more concern then what School or what Class of (rich or poor) kids they are playing with(as long as the other kids have manners and morals).
