Sounds like Night Terrors. My daughter just started having these and I have done extensive research. Sometimes it takes a while for a child to outgrow these sometimes they only last a number of days. However they occur, they are very scary for parents. A child has no recollection of the episode. The one thing that we found to work so far is Benadryl. Just a half teaspoon for a 3 1/2 year old. I also held her little hand and prayed with her. Last night she slept soundly for the first time in over a week! Good Luck Let me know how he does.
