| Hi, I too found out around the same time that I was unexpectedly pregnant with my sixth. I had five c-sections. My fifth was actually my smoothest with the biggest baby - 9 pounds. I know doctors are nervous of repeat c-sections. I was warned before the c-section that there may be complications with my bladder. But, all went smoothly and I honestly had the best recovery of any of my c-sections. During the c-section however, I was told my uterus was so thin that the doctor could see the baby. I was advised not to get pregnant again. I wasn't planning on having another one, but I never got my period back after the c-section. I thought it was because I was still nursing nine months later. However, one night i took a pregnancy test and found it was because I was pregnant. I am about nine weeks now and my doctor is keeping a close eye on me and on my thin spot which he can see on the ultrasound. I am hoping it all goes well. But I thought I would let you know that my fifth c-section was great and I was fairly active during the pregnancy. It is possible! When I asked my previous doctor how many c-sections I could have he said, "Rose Kennedy had 11!" Keep positive, I think you'll do great. |
