I personally run a home daycare and have to make a conscous effort to treat my daughter the same as the other children as far as what I expect and consequences. I don't think there is anything you can do to remedy this situation because if she doesn't even make an effort in front of the other parents I guarantee she is showing not only favoritism, but teaching the kids bad lessons. I feel terrible about her loss, but I do not think she has what it takes to be a daycare provider. Daycare providers are always on the best behavior in front of the parents so just think of the hitting that may go on to your child all day. I'm sure she also takes toys away if her child wants them and etc. Your child will start to feel like they are doing something wrong all the time and are bad. I wouldn't hesitate to find a better situation. If your friends, think of a creative excuse such as you found some place more reasonable or closer to work. You will think of something.

Good Luck
