SUBJECT: 4 month old - naps are only 30 minutes!
Hi All - I am new to the boards. I have a 4 month old daughter. She takes 2 naps a day, but each is only 30-45 minutes. When she is waking from her afternoon nap, she still seems tired (not smiling when you go into her room, etc) However, on a rare occasion, she has taken a 2 hour afternoon nap. I don't know how to get her to sleep more consistently at naptime. She is awake when she goes down for her nap. I am wondering if she wakes after a sleep cycle & then cannot go back to sleep? THEN, by about 6pm, she's exhausted, so we keep having to put her to bed very early. Any suggestions to how to get her naps to be a bit longer?
