SUBJECT: 5 y.o. girl having trouble focusing on task in kindergarten.
My 5 y.o. daughter came home yesterday with homework & a note from the teacher on it. The teacher said that she was to finish the work ( which consisted of coloring & cutting two more pieces to make up a lion)at home & also noted that most of the other children were able to complete the work in the time alotted. During group discussions, she is on task and contributes well...but when doing assignments, she loses her attention easily and is too busy watching the other students and chatting. How can we help at home to improve this behavior in school. The teacher also said that this is becoming progressively worse as time goes on. Help please.
