SUBJECT: 13 month old that is losing weight, but is eating...
My 2nd child (13months old) has been battling a problem with weight for about 5 months. To look at her she looks healthy and happy with round cheeks. But, she keeps going up and down with her weight. When it first started she was not eating well, and we had to force her she ended up in the hospital once b/c of dehydration, but since then she has started eating again and we really thought that it was a phase. The other day I took her the Dr. for a well visit and in less than three weeks she has lost almost a full pound. She is eating and drinking whole milk. We go back to the Dr. in a few days to check to see if she has gained any of lost any. My son never did this, and I am started to get concerned because the Dr. said when it first started that it was okay because she was not falling off the charts but now they are acting more concerned. She has a seizure disorder but is controlled by medicine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
