SUBJECT: my son calls me names/tells me he hates me
I am the mother of one boy. My son will be 5 in feb. and since he was born I have lived my life around him, because that's the kind of mom i want to be. I no longer work full time and devote all of my time to him. I don't beleive in calling names, so my son rarely hears that kind of behavior at home, but lately, when he wants something and i say no etc. he says "I hate you anyway, you are so stupid etc. He's never acted like that before to me and i don't know how to react so he realizes this kind of behavior is not acceptable. I try not to react other than telling him, he gets a time out and that i'm dissapointed...what else should i do. It feels like i am being stabbed in the back when i hear these words coming out of his mouth.
thanks,
tylersmom
