Hi! I too am having problems with bleeding. I am approx 9 weeks and started bleeding 4 days ago. This bleeding starts out bright red and then slows down and turns brown only to start again red. I called my doctor the day after it started and went in for a transvaginal ultrasound. They saw the baby and its heartbeat and said that was the best thing to see. They were encouraged because of it. My doctor said that the placenta actually "eats" into the uterine muscle and maybe a blood vessel was nicked and that may be source of bleeding. They didn't see anything else which would cause it on the ultrasound. It stopped and then resumed again late last night. This is enough to stain my underwear red. It always turns brown and then stops only to resume again. I am trying not to get stressed but like you said it is hard. I also read on other message boards that some people think certain prenatal vitamins with iron can cause you to bleed. Has anyone heard of this? I did start taking new vitamins 3 days before this started. My advice to you, chris, is to try to get your doctor to do an early ultrasound to see if your baby has a heartbeat. You are supposed to be able to see one b/t 6 and 7 weeks. Let me know what happens. I will pray for you. GOOD LUCK!
